Professor Katherine Southwood is an Associate Professor in Old Testament at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of Oxford, and Fellow and Tutor in Theology and Religion at St John’s College. She read for her BA in Theology at St Mary’s, Durham, followed by a MSt in Classical Hebrew and DPhil in Oriental Studies at Wolfson College, Oxford. After a brief period as Kennicott Fellow she got a post as University Lecturer in St Mary’s University College, London. In 2013, she was appointed to the post of Associate Professor in the Old Testament at St John’s College, and the Faculty of Theology and Religion.
Professor Southwood served as the co-editor of the Journal of Theological Studies from 2012-2014. She is on various editorial and review board for journals including JTS, JBL and HBT.
